Seems to me that the tension pin that sigs have inside their lowers that pushes on the rear takedown pin to keep the fit tight, is pushing up too hard and causing this gap.The MCX upper kit is the same a an upper on an MCX (whole) but it includes the ability to convert an AR lower to allow attachment of 1913 pic rail on the end and fills the space where the stock/buffer tube would go. Also I have seen the kits provide a match-duo trigger to use with with MCX upper (hence my comment above about the trigger) ...I personally just don't see spending $2500-3000 on a gun and shooting cheap steel case through it to save 10 or 20cpr. But if 10-20cpr is going to make a difference for you then I probably wouldn't get the 300blk rattler upper.
