Try to use elemental weapons. Fire for humans and animals. Shock for shielded targets, Corrosive for robots and armored targets. Explosive works fairly well on everything. SS downsides are pretty badly overblown, most likely because people frequently pair it with a Legendary Binder. The extra Suspension boost makes it more painful when the orb gets weird.
