Pondering. It might just be a result of merging the D&D 5E rules with their engine, which doesn't appear to have gone perfectly. For example, getting into combat only applies the turn based system to people in combat. Everyone else in the world continues their lives as normal, which can lead to shenanigans happening.

So it's about 24% longer for me on HDD vs SSD. I enabled the slow HDD mode and have a very strong computer with plenty of VRAM/RAM tho. There's a "Slow HDD" toggle that seems more like a placebo than anything, and it turns itself off sometimes when you restart the game. But it *says* it can offset some of the loading by using extra RAM/VRAM.
