I have one and cut it down to 16", ported the barrel, laminate stocks, big loop and an XS scout rail. I still have to ream it out to 30-30 Ackley Improved. So naturally I want to take a look at them...I look at the markings on the barrel, one is "SC", one is "A", now, I've looked around abit but other than seeing that "yea, they are Marlin models" of the 336, what is the real difference?

Some will just barely keep 3 shots in 3". When they were sold they were significantly cheaper than a 336, but today there just doesn't seem to be too much difference in value.
