May 3, 2019 · Posted 03-05-19. Hi ladies, My period is due in 10 days but I’m still getting Flashing smiley faces (‘High fertility’) on my Clear Blue Digital Advance Ovulation Tests. I have been getting Flashing Smiley faces for the past 6 days. Is this normal? How many days did you get flashing smiley faces? Also. First time using Clear Blue Advanced. I've gotten flashing smileys since Sunday, so I was expecting the 3rd day to be the solid smiley but its still flashing.  This is really disappointing. This happen to anyone else and did you ever ever get a solid smiley?The flashing smiley indicates your estrogen has risen above the baseline level, which usually happens before the LH surge. I purchased the Clearblue digital test and it detected estrogen (flashing smiley face) on Monday the 7th. I tested again on Tuesday the 8th and it confirmed the LH levels with a solid smiley face which stayed on for 48 hours. I just started to use these this month. I had 2 days of the hollow circle. 6 days of the flashing circle and then the following day the static smiley face. I will admit that any more days of flashing smileys and I could have lost the plot. But reading back on the instructions leaflet, 5-8 days is normal in 25% of the cases for flashing smileys.
