Sturgia gets their super heavy Shock Trooper and Veteran Infantry which are at the end of their line. IMO Battania is one of the best factions in the game, easily number 2 behind the Kkan's.

My favorite way to play Battania is a 50/50 Fian/Falx army with 3/4 of Falxmen left at tier 4. The regular Falxman performs better in melee than the tier 5 Veteran version, but the Veterans perform better against cav. It's a very easy and versatile army able to play aggressively or defensively.
