There's no order in particular, but as far as the main game content goes completing the Void Heart and fighting the Radiance are the next steps. Grimm's quests and fights should be the first DLC you try, and it doesn't really matter whether you complete the ritual or banish them, though the Ritual ending gives a better reward.

Grimmchild doesn't have the best accuracy, so its tends to miss quite frequently. It's fine as a backup damage on its own, but not extremely reliable/dependable. So unless your playstyle is focused on being evasive rather than straight up confrontational, you'll find better uses for those 2 notches.
