The check valve seems to be working properly and I have good suction on my finger coming out of the solenoid. First, it would not shift into 4 wheel drive at all, high or low. It has the switch that you turn to shift it into 4x4. So we replaced the relays under the hood on the driver side. Now, it will shift into 4x4 high and low. But, It makes a really loud grinding noise up front. Sounds like the hubs are shot out to me.The last year Ford put the 5.4L in the F150 was 2010. Update: Dealer is awaiting a part from Ford which is currently looking to come in 2/8, but that date could change. I am hopeful but skeptical the IWE replacement will solve this as the dealer went above and beyond and even attempted to swap another IWE off another brand new 23 F-150 on their lot and now they both make the noise.Below is the work done that was handed to me with the service advisor saying I called Ford and they said if we can't reproduce the noise there is nothing we can do.
